Year 5 Curriculum

Learning Launch
We were sent to a special burial site to uncover an ancient mystery. Once we arrived at Sutton Hoo, we uncovered many Anglo-Saxon artefacts that belonged to King Redwald. We investigated these further and learned all about push and pull factors. The Anglo-Saxons arrived to England by boat, so we then created our own dragon heads.

On Friday, we took part in a Loudmouth workshop, in which we became bully busters. We learned about all the different types of bullying and what we can do to try and prevent them from happening.
Tamworth Castle
Year 5 had a fantastic day at Tamworth Castle, learning about the Anglo Saxons and Vikings. They enjoyed their archaeology session where they explored a range of artefacts and loved becoming soldiers and re-enacting battles. We also enjoyed the interactive gallery.
